Ideal for food and pharmaceutical factories. Polka Plate Grinding

投稿日:

Stainless steel is usually a plate material with a flat surface.
However, when considering hygienic spaces and non-slip surfaces for outdoor use, plates with uneven surfaces and non-slip mechanisms are used.
There are various types, but this time I would like to introduce the polka plate with round convex surface.
Polka Plate is a product of Nippon Yakin Kogyo.
The “X”-shaped pattern that you often see is called a checker plate, while a polka plate is an anti-slip product with a round convex surface.

Normally, the wood is used as it is, but it may be polished for aesthetic reasons, to make the surface smoother and easier to wipe clean, or to prevent dirt from penetrating the rough surface and inhibit the growth of bacteria.

It would be better to polish by hand, but it is very costly and time-consuming for a large area of board, so we use mechanical equipment for finishing.
First, the state of the original board

This is the front side.

This will be the back side.

When the surface is polished, the area around the convexity becomes a ring of polishing additions, as shown here.

The back can be finished without any problems.

The polishing wheel will not hit the round convex area.

After this, I think it would be better to have a plating company perform electropolishing to achieve a beautiful finish.

There are many different types of stainless steel sheets.
In addition to the usual uses, with a little ingenuity, we can develop new applications.
