3D Stainless Steel Ceiling Material and Lighting Effect

投稿日:

What is 3D Stainless Steel?

Stainless steel is a very flexible metal.

It is highly resistant to corrosion and retains its original shine.
It is a metal that does not require painting or plating to maintain its beautiful surface.

Depending on how it is polished, it can be made to have a mirror-like appearance, a cloudy surface, or a surface with flowing lines.

Stainless steel is capable of forming not only flat surfaces, but also three-dimensional shapes.

3D stainless steel is a special type of design stainless steel that has a three-dimensional shape with design characteristics.

It is a highly designable metal material that can be cut, bent, and welded in the same way as regular stainless steel, although processing requires a little more technique.

It can be used both indoors and outdoors.

In the case of the ceiling material introduced here, the thickness of the plate can be made thinner to achieve a significant weight reduction.

Also, stainless steel can reflect light.

The unique shine and reflection of the metal illuminated by LED and other lights.

The reflection of the reflected light is very fantastic.

Placement of 3D stainless steel on the ceiling

You can choose from a variety of methods for attaching the product to the ceiling.

Fasteners can be attached to the back of the bent material, or the material can be fixed directly to the ceiling.

Holes for lighting, air vents, and fire prevention equipment are important for the ceiling material, but these can be handled by drilling holes in the 3D stainless steel body in advance and fixing the equipment on the back.

In addition, the angle and shape of the installation can be freely processed as only stainless steel can, so that not only simple rectangles, but also circles, free curves, and other shapes can be expressed on the ceiling as desired.

3D stainless steel lighting effects

In the past, I made an experimental video on the lighting effects of 3D stainless steel used for walls.

This time, we demonstrated the lighting effect when used as a ceiling material.

First, we arranged 100 x 600 mm material in a flooring pattern.

The reason why we chose a flooring pattern is because we have already confirmed the lighting effect of large area panels in the properties where we have used them, so this time we divided the texture into small pieces and verified the lighting effect of the arrangement.

Lifted by overhead crane. We hung blackout curtains in three directions so that we could check the lighting effects.

This is what it looks like when you look up from below.

Now, let’s apply the LED light from the bottom.

We usually use a white commercial LED light to light from below.

Streaks of light like an aurora appeared on the dark curtain beside me.

When the LEDs are moved, the aurora shimmers.

The one on the left in the photo is the LED light.

I am moving it up and down.

The 3D stainless steel on the ceiling shines and diffuses a curtain of light around it.

This time, the light is white, so it is a white aurora, but it is possible to create a colorful aurora by using colored LEDs and coloring the 3D stainless steel.

Also, although the flooring style is used this time, you can create a completely new space by adding more ideas such as circular or curved shapes.

For the 3D stainless steel texture, I used a mixture of ripples and Jeux d’eau.

By using different textures such as water drops, the expression of the reflected light will change.

Introduction to the verification video

We have made a video of the lighting effects of this 3D stainless steel ceiling material.

Please watch it from the following channel.

Finally.

Recently, we have seen an increase in the use of 3D stainless steel ceiling materials as partial accents.

We would be happy to contribute to your unique design and space creation by combining colors, shapes and lighting effects from conventional ideas.

We are able to digitize and propose even freehand shapes such as free curvature.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions about how we can be of service to you in the ever-expanding world of original space creation.
