Our Products were Used in the Movie “Grand Maison Paris”

Our titanium range hood, white stainless-steel countertop components, and stainless-steel wall panels were selected for the filming set of the movie Grand Maison Paris, scheduled for release in winter 2024. The products, utilizing Nippon Steel’s TranTixxii® decorative titanium and our advanced decorative polishing technology, played a significant role in the movie’s interior design.

Products Used in the Movie and Their Features

Titanium range hood

Our range hood features titanium decorative panels finished with our proprietary polishing technique, the stripe pattern (String Curtain pattern). This pattern creates a modern and elegant atmosphere within the kitchen of Restaurant Grand Maison Paris, the movie’s main setting. Additionally, the top panel inside the range hood features our unique Konayuki (Powder Snow) polishing pattern on white stainless steel, achieving both a decorative finish and anti-glare properties.

　The entrance wall features stainless-steel decoration utilizing our proprietary design polishing technique. We achieved a finish harmonizing with the space of the movie by combining delicate design and high durability through our unique “Shine Bead Blast” finish, specially developed for entrance, which creates a softly luminous atmosphere.

Background for the Products and Adoption

The decisive factor in our products being selected for this movie this time was that the Designing Metals from Nippon Steel Corporation and Nippon Steel Stainless Steel Corporation, along with our own products, caught the attention of movie stylist Taro Miyamoto. Furthermore, Chef Kei Kobayashi of Restaurant KEI, who serves as the movie’s culinary consultant, actually uses our proprietary design and patented IP Gold Titanium products.

Significance of the Movie and Our Contribution

Grand Maison Paris depicts the challenges and growth of chefs striving to earn three Michelin stars for French cuisine. We are proud that our products served as crucial set pieces in this story, contributing to the film’s quality by providing spaces where design and functionality converge.
